Hi guys,

i am using the component now. Looks very good, but, I believe the notification mails are not being sent.

I'm not sure what to put in cron jobs in direct admin; the command i am loading in direct admin is written in the additional message.

Regards,
Sander
Hey Sander,

Your cron command is actually wrong. Instead of /home/embassy , you should get the path to wget from your web hosting provider.

Hi Marc,

thank you, I've asked the hosting guys.

Another thing, I would like to have to turn the option of sending emails standard enabled. Is that possible?

Also, I would like to have the system sending emails to people on every new topic and answer, also when they didn't sign up to that particular page.

How does that works? Do people only receive messages about pages they signed in for?

Regards,
Sander

Hey Sander,

Not sure what you mean by "sending emails standard enabled". Did you mean you want to send emails when a user accesses the page? I wouldn't recommend that because sending emails are slow and it should be done in the back ground.

As for sending emails to everyone, you need to go to the Settings of EasyDiscuss > Notifcations and enable the option "Notify all users on new posts". It currently cannot notify everyone on replies though but you ought to take care about this because users might complain about this.

This buttons are generated by Joomla and what you can do is to set the privilege for these xtd-buttons to "Special". This way, these buttons only appears for special users (Super admin / admins). You can do this by accessing the plugins manager
