We're having a problem with email notifications in easyblog.

Whenever a user/blogger posts something, everyone who is subscribed to receive email notifications, receives them ok, including superadmins.
Whenever a superadmin posts something, no one receives email notifications.

I have tried many different settings of privileges and notification settings to no avail.

This is very similar to the issue posted here on the thread below, which appears to not have any update on what actually worked to resolve it:

http://stackideas.com/forums/not-all-subscribers-receive-notification-emails

Our problem is the same thing, but reversed, the superadmins make a post and no one gets notifications, whereas the thread above says superadmins do not received notifications. But maybe she was talking about the same thing as we're experiencing?
Hello Neil,

I have checked in your site subscription and user group, it seems like your site subscription only available the registered user can become the subscriber, also i checked in your 2 user also under Super User group. If you would like the Super user to get the email notification when another Super user publishing a blog post, you should add the custom email at your backend > Easyblog > setting > notification > general > custom email address & enable the "Use Custom Email as Admin Email" , see my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/CRpvY1Zm4S

I have help you added that 2 super user email address in that custom email field there, they should be receive the email notification.

Hello I am still not happy with how Easy Blog is not performing correctly and not sending Email Alerts to Users when a Post is made or a Comment is added to a Post.

One thing that appears to be partially working correctly is one person added a comment to my Post and I received an email alert to my Registered account that he had done that. However, in my Super User I did not get the alert. I only got the alert to my Registered user account.

I added a Registered user account for me because you told me that Super Users and Administrators do not get email alerts for new postings or comments. On reflecting on this it makes no sense. Shouldn't of all people Super Users should get these alerts since they are monitoring

Another person made a new Post and neither my Super User or Registered accounts received an email alert.

Can I talk live with someone to get this fixed since I am charging people a Member Fee to have access to the virtual communities I provide via Easy Blog?

Hello Neil,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I have tried to access in your backend and investigate on this, but i getting "Login denied! Your account has either been blocked or you have not activated it yet."

First, i'm really apologize that misunderstanding in earliest first post.
I already knew your exactly problem here, is it possible to activate back that user account you provided before?

Or you can follow my below step to configure this :
First : Add the user email address which under the Super User group from backend > Easyblog > setting > notification > general > Custom Email Address
e.g #1 http://screencast.com/t/w0MNCXb8
#2 http://screencast.com/t/Be3bp9a5joX
Second : Click second tab (Blogs) from notification part and enable the "Notify admin on new entries" and "Notify all members on new entries" , check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/AW9ZYHEc
Third : Click third tab (Comments) from notification part and enable the "Notify admin on new comments " check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/buY4HUaE

After you configured :
*When one of the Super User publishing a blog post in your site, another Super User also can get the email notification
*When one of the user comment on registered user blog post, all the Super User also will get the email notification

Hope this help.
