Currently Infinity template designed only based on the default Wireframe theme, in order to make it work for the Nickel theme, you have to temporary rename this override file JoomlaFolder/templates/infinity/html/com_easyblog/blogs/latest/default.main.php.

For now, I will log it as feature request if there a lot of user who wan to use Nickel theme in infinity template, we will consider to implement this in the future.

Hello Arlex, thank you for logging this, but this "feature", to be honest, should work out of the box with your templates. Nickel is a basic theme and only way to have 2 columns layout for blogs, so this is really surprising, that you are developing templates for all your components and don't support your own themes. Even in menus you can choose Nickel related values, so one would expect, this will work fine

Finally this was a big reason to stay with your homemade templates, that everything is working fine together. But looks like you can not count on that…

I already discuss with our developer and designer regarding this today, actually for all our templates is base on component's 'wireframe' theme only and we don't support for other sub themes.

The reason this issue will never happen on other template previously is because we do not have override the Easyblog frontpage layout styling but for infinity template it needed to put some specific styling on the Easyblog frontpage layout based on the designed for this specific template.

If you would like to show column on the blog listing page, I would like to suggest that you can consider to change that menu blog frontpage layout style to "Card layout" or switch to use grid menu type.

i would love to use card layout, this is a great look, but i would love it more, if there could be a two column layout of this. Couldn't you consider to add two columns layout for card layout please? This would would fit perfectly to two columns events and two columns pages and two columns groups and would leave enough space for an additional module column in sidebar. What do you think about instead of making Nickel working?
