Hello,

Are all these updates for EasyBlog going to need to be done manually? We use Watchful.ly to update 500+ websites. When will we be able to update EasyBlog with the Joomla installer?

Hey Michael,

You can actually update through Joomla update page then go to Easyblog dashboard and proceed that update, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Hope this help.

Hello Arlex,

Can you please let me know if there is a plan or when the next version of Easyblog can just be updated using the Joomla update page instead of having to go into the Easyblog dashboard as well?

Thank you,

Hello Michael,

It is not possible to actually just update everything at one go as there are a lot of queries which needs to be performed and file copying as well. Hence, even if you click on the update from Joomla, you still need to proceed with the installation.

The reason being, most php environment would timeout if it exceeds the 60s marker.

Hello,

Can you please let me know if the version 5.1.7 of Easyblog is a stable version? What I mean is if we update all 500+ websites are we gonna have to update them again in a few days if you release a new version.

Thank you,
Michael Casta

Hello Michael,

5.1.7 onwards is a pretty stable version but we will be pushing out 5.1.8 soon so my advise is for you to wait for 5.1.8.
