Before you log in to you social network, you can see a News feed of users. There will be a good change that people might not like that.

How can I disable this news feed so that the public can't see it?

Thanks

James
Hello James,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
You can enable this option from your backend > easysocial > setting > general > Enable lockdown mode/Allow registrations in lockdown mode -YES

By the way, thanks for sharing aikigi

Hello,

If i'm right there is no option to hide the stream by default as users who want their post to be public wouldn't appear either...

Now can can change (or reset if you want to) the default privacy setting for "Who can view my stories" by modifying the setting in the "profile type" itself.

Go to: Component/easysocial/profile types.
select the profile you want to change and go the tab "Privacy". Change the first field "Who can view my stories" to registred user only.

See screenshot.

Registred users will be able to override this setting in their profile or when writing a post if they want to make them public.

Hope this help!
