New users are presented with this error immediately after logging in at the link provided in the approval email:

Warning
You cannot access the private section of this site.

Have I missed an access setting somewhere?

I also made changes to the 'Viewing Access Levels', which I'm sure could have mucked things up.
hello Justin Sturgis,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I have tested register an account in your Easysocial site, but it seems like after registered, I can logged in without any error.

Can you provide us some instruction step by step so that we can reproduce this issues and see which part misconfiguration?

By the way, what i test is click "Register button" > select first profile type (consumer) > fill in the form > click Submit > put the activation code > after successfully > try to login > login successfully.

Am i missing something here? Please advise.

Sorry Alex, no, you are correct, I actually fixed the issue right before you registered. I had renamed the "Registered" user type, thus the default was marking all newly registered users without an access type. Renaming back to "Registered" resolved the issue.

Regards,
JS
