Hello,
I tried several times to publish a new post from frontend,
the composer says that the post is being saved, but when I close the composer the
post is not being created at all.

Here are the steps I followed:
- opened the composer to create a new post with the normal mode (not the quick mode)
- added a youtube embed block on top of the text block
- embedded a youtube video
- pasted some text in the text block
- selected both my categories
- clicked "publish post"

I see the "saving" popup window, after that I still see
the composer window, I click teh "X" in the top right side
and close the composer window

the post is not being created
I tried several times just to be sure

here is a video of me trying to save this post
http://screencast.com/t/f5HEH7R4EK

I did not test posting from backend but I posted and article successfully from backend
some weeks ago right after installing easyblog

Thank you
Hi,
Namecheap managed to fix this, it was due to a mod_security
installed on the server.

Thank you

Hey Niccolo,

Hm, are you posting this from the back end or the front end? I just tried this and it seems to work fine. By the way, when you hit the "Publish" button, you should see a screen that looks like this, http://screencast.com/t/RqrqYTwLN

It seems like it is different than the video that you just posted and I believe it actually hit some error when saving.

Hi,

I am trying to post from the frontend,
and no, I don't see confirmation message after hitting "publish post"
I just see a message with a timebar saying that the post is being saved.

What could be causing this issue?
Did you try to replicate it using both a video embed and a text block in the post,
because this is what I was doing.

Thanks

Okay, managed to reproduce this error on the front end and I believe there is a security plugin in place that is preventing the submission of the post. Please see my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/RvC2qkHfLgD7

I see Mark,
but do you have any idea of what I should look for?
I don't have any security component installed (like anti-hacker components).

here are some more info:
- I am running on a Gantry 5 Template (rockettheme)
- Several Nonumber.nl extensions installed
- Image Gallery PRO by Joomlaworks
- Acymailing
- Akeeba backup
- Hexdata (for import/export of data from database into csv files)

Thank you

I can't see the message because it is being masked by your Joomla template. Please configure your site to use the protostar template.

I assigned protostar to the blog section only, should work.

There are still no error messages being displayed at all and your ftp access isn't working. Please edit your post and include the ftp access.

You need to repeat my exact steps in order to get the error.
You published posts with onlya text block inside, that works, but if you put a video embed (youtube) block and text block, the saving does not work.

Okay, upon inspecting this, i am 100% sure that this issue has nothing to do with Joomla or any plugins. It is because of your web server.

What I did to test this:

1. Load up composer
2. Type contents
3. Inserted youtube block
4. Before I hit the publish button, edit the index.php file of your Joomla site and inserted a return; code in this file. This causes Joomla to be malfunction (nothing rendered at all)
5. Clicked on publish post now in the composer.
6. The same 403 Forbidden error message is showing.

Thanks,
I don't follow you well on the tech speech sorry...

this site is on a namecheap.com shared server,
I had easyblog installed on a different site on the same kind of server (same server configuration) previously
and wasn't having this issue (but I don't remember if I ever tried to publish a
post with an embedded video and text to be honest).

What should I ask exactly to namecheap support?

In short, the webserver is "blocking" post requests that may contain some specific data.

Please give me the requirements that a server need to meet in order
to run easyblog smoothly, or point me out to a page
with those requirements, so I can open a support ticket
with namecheap and ask them something more specific.

Thank you
