Hello,

The EasyBlog New Post Module is not working on my site. At the moment, the module is "published" and made "public" on the right position of my blog page (please see the attached image). But when a user signs on, the button is no where to be seen. My users cannot create or draft a new blog once they log on. I even assigned the module to the specific pages (see image).

How can I make this button visible for all users? I double-checked the ACL for each group. All of my Registered users have privileges to create a new blog. I've included the access information to this post in a private tab.

Thanks!
Hello Edmund,

I'm sorry but that module is the old module and only works with Easyblog 3.9. You might want to use our Welcome module instead. http://screencast.com/t/B6G1kALb

Hi Nick,

Thanks for responding. I applied the new Welcome Module, but now I have a separate problem. The "New Post" gives me an error (see image attached).
Fatal error: Call to a member function hasCustomFields() on a non-object in /home1/rc06116/public_html/fishinrules.com/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/composer/composer.php on line 283

The "Quick Post" works fine, but not the "New Post". Please help! I've included my access information to the site.

******UPDATE******

Nick,
I did some more researching and realized that only users with Super User privileges can post. All other users under any other group (Manager, Registered, Author, etc...) receive the stated error. I double-checked the settings and my "Registered" users should be able to post, but not publish, their content. Any ideas?

Hello Edmund,

I've checked your site and found out that the default category is not public. You cannot have private category as a default. I've changed to different category. the New Post should work now. Please give it a try.
