Hi,
we would like to add more menu items in the core EasySocial menu.
We need both - one next to the notification icon and one in the account menu.

Thank you
Hello Jan,

It's not possible currently but you can add your own set of hacks in the file /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/toolbar/default.php if you want

Hi,

thank you for your reply.
Np, we are building new template and trying to integrate the invitex with EasySocial - it would be great if there is link on friends page or/in profile menu.

Anyway, could we use overrides for changing the /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/toolbar/default.php file?

Thanks a lot

PS: I still remember that one of the most frustrating thing in JomSocial when they started was exactly the same problem - users couldn't edit the 'social menu' ... so I think it would be great if you make it.

Yep, it's possible to override this in /templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_easysocial/toolbar/default.php . Yes, initially JomSocial had an issue with the toolbar not being editable but now, I believe they are really struggling to upkeep it, it makes things extremely difficult especially when it comes to routing in Joomla.

Navigations should never even be on a separate toolbar Why do you want to have navigation when you already have a menu on your Joomla site

Thank you

Sure, I agree with you, I thought I would just tell you how were people unhappy they were not able to add more or change the menu.

I think it would be great if people can create their menu buttons... maybe it'e only me

Anyway thanks a lot

Your not the only one. For myself it's probably best to use a DIV container to have ES modules (notifications and such) with a Joomla menu along side it. The idea I have in mind would look seamless and would be flexible by using Joomla menu items instead. ES's is pretty good, but many of us have specific locations we want it.
