New menu item in user menu

I would like to place the "My Dashboard" menu item generated from payplans in the members user menu rather than the main menu for site navigation.

Is there an option to do that somewhere on the back end from the menus or does it have to be put in the code somewhere?

Hi there,

In order for you to achieved this, you can create a new menu items for this only(if you wanted to show only this menu in it). I have created a new dashboard menu item as shown http://take.ms/Wl3Mc in "Membership Plan" menu and assign it to "dropdown module" as shown http://take.ms/yTvXE

It will shown you only those menu item. Please give it a check and see how it goes.
