New Joomla content versioning - integrtion with EasyBlog

Hello at StackIdeas,

I have been informed that Joomla soon will release a new content versioning and that it will be available for extension developer to integrate in their Joomla extensions. As we are using EasyBlog all over our web portal for both articles and blogs it would be great if EasyBlog would be able to integrate with this new Joomla versioning.

Yes, that's right. We're planning to build our own because this feature is only available on Joomla 3.2 2.5 users will not be able to benefit from this.

So you will build your own for EasyBlog J2.5 and will you then use the Joomla content versioning for J3.x.x.?

Do you have an time estimate for when you will have it ready for EasyBlog?

Hello Finn,

Sorry but we don't have any ETA on this yet. Unfortunately, we can't be switching features like that as this will only make things more bloated. What I guess we would do is to build our own version control rather than relying on Joomla 3.2.

Hi Mark,

It has been over six months since the last post. We are very interested in content versioning functionality for blogs and we don't want to switch to Joomla core articles just to use this function. Are there any updates on this feature or a roadmap for next Easyblog release?

Hello Anh,

We will be including Content Versioning in Easyblog 4 which in development phase currently. We don't have exact ETA for that but for sure its already in our feature list for EB4.

I understand you don't have exact ETA - but do you have any ETA for EasyBlog 4 - I am sure that will be exciting too. Any web page where we can have a look at what this milestone EasyBlog upgrade will include?
