Hi Team,

Thanks for your effort for the updates for 1.2.10.

I have spotted there are new feature that allow site admin to change the storage path for photos, files, etc. I just wonder what will happen if I change the photo path to another location, eg: /images/user/photos? Is ES going to move existing folder (and files, photos ) to the new location or I need to move it manually? Further, will existing streams, shared items, and album be automatically updated to the new path?

p.s same question, what if I move from local to S3 storage? what will happen to existing local media and URLs?

Please advise and thanks.
Hello Alfred,

Thanks for the heads up on this. Appreciate your insights on this.

Hi,

If you read the tooltip is states you need to transfer the folder to the new path you have set.

This also applies to the S3.

Thanks Alex, just read the tooltip.

Hi Team,

i would like to also suggest to have S3 auto-migration just like Jomsocial, when user changed the setting to use / remove setting for S3 remote storage, the CRON job will actually do the file movements automatically. Please treat this as a feature request then. or give an option to move file manually or automatically.

Thanks
