A new group member who has joined to an existing group with events, cannot attend to an existing event. Only new created group events are accessible for the new group member.

Reproduce:
1 User1 has created a new group "Development"
2 User1 creates a new open event "Test-Event" in this group "Development"
3 User2 joins to the group "Development" by pressing the button "Join This Group"
4. User1 (owner of group) allows User2 to join the group by pressing the buttons "Approve Application" -> Approve users invite -> Approve
5. User2 is a new member of group "Development"
6. User2 will Attend to the event "Test-Event" and gets a message "You do not have access to this event"

If you create an new open group event, both members (User1 and User2) can Attend. Another new user (i.e. User3) who has joined the group after creating an event can not attend to the event.

Please fix this bug in next release;)

Thanks
Oliver
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

As long as that is group member, they should able to access group event.

By the way, I've tried to replicate this in my locally 1.4.11 version, it seems work fine. If you using the latest version of Easysocial in your site and the issue still persists, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Hi Arlex,
It is important to create a new open event in a closed group. I forgot to say it must be a closed group.
So please create a closed group first, then create a open event in this group. After that, let a new user join to the group.

The new user can not attend because there is no entry in table "_social_clusters_nodes" for the event. Each group member (user) gets an entry in this table if you create a new group event. The new user does not get an entry if he joins to the group. That's the bug.

Our webside is currently an intranet webside without external access. I have to talk with our IT to get an external access. But I think you should reproduce it. I also use latest version 1.4.11 of a local computer.

Regards
Oliver

Hey Oliver,
When a closed-group creates an event, it will automatically be a closed-event. If a new user join the group after that event created and tries to attend the previously created event, a message will popup and says 'You do not have access to this event'.
This seems to be a bug as newly approved group members should have the right to attend that group's previously created event. I have logged this issue in our tracker and will discuss with the developers regarding this. We will post an update if we find anything more about this.
