I gave my site a spin on PHP 7 for a day. I normally run it on PHP 5.6. I am on ED 3.2.9744 and Joomla 3.5.
I ran into an EasyDiscuss issue where any new Question, or any Reply to an existing Question, the comment text is completely stripped out. In other words, it is impossible to post anything except a title and attachments.
The only place that text is not stripped out is using the "Comment" button for commenting individual replies. Note that this Comment text area does not load any kind of editor.
However, "Ask a Question" (new topic) or "Your Reply" (on existing topics) text areas do not work. I have tried No Editor, TinyMCE, JCE and default BB Code.
With EasyDiscuss 4 soon to be released, I assume that there is some re-factored code that might fix this?
Is it worth looking into this issue on ED 3.2.9744 or should I just wait until ED 4 before doing some more PHP 7 testing?
