Hello Mies,

I'm sorry, I don't get you here. Can you elaborate more on it? Perhaps some screenshots.

I'll try again. The problem is that there aren't any email updates sent when I make a new blogpost.

I have three blogs in three different categories. 2 are for registered users, the other is an open blog.
When I make a new blogpost in the last category (the open blog), I receive an update as super-user.
The first two blogs don't send any updates, not to me as super-user neither does it send any to the registered users.
How do I fix this?

I checked but the settings for both appear to be the same, so I can't find any differences.

Thanks for your time, Mies.

Hello Mies,

It is because, by default, Easyblog will check the blog post is for public or non-public. If it is not for public, it will skip the mail notification. Even it is for Registered user, it still considered as not public. Hope this helps clarify the situation.

It does clarify the situation, it just doesn't help.
Is there a way around the default setting. My blogs are not open to the public but I would like the registered users (they have the option to subscribe after all) to receive an update.
Would it help if i shut down the public blog?

I seem to remember receiving updates in the beginning even though it was already for registered users only, so it sort of sounds like there is a way around it.
Isn't it strange that even I -as superuser- don't receive a notification?

Thanks again, Mies.

Hello Mies,

You can restrict the public from viewing the post by post it in a private category. You can change the category permission in Backend>Easyblog>Categories: http://screencast.com/t/9qCnOuqEKO . You might want to try this.
