Hi I wish to have it so that when a user clicks on a youtube video link in a blog post, the youtube video will open in a pop up window, and not take me to the youtube page for that video.
Is this possible in easyblog?
Regards,

Tom.
Hello Tom,

How are you embedding the video? You can just directly embed the video in the blog and the player would directly appear in the blog without having any popups or linking you to the youtube page.

Hi thanks for your response.
My client is actually looking for me to copy the format of one of their other websites (which is a wordpress site) where the video links are clicked and pop-up with the youtube videos for this category.

I've included a link to the page on their site so you can see what I mean. There is a category of articles for videos, the links click and open in video ina pop up window with leaving the page.
Is this possible with easyblog?

thanks,
Tom.

Hello Tom,

If you use the embed video feature in EasyBlog, you can edit the file /components/com_easyblog/classes/videos/youtube.php and alter the output that is displayed on the site. I believe they are using some sort of javascript lightbox to display the video.
