Hi stackideas.

I have a huge issue at hand.
I use a template from joomlart, which had a theme for easyblog integrated.

I paid for easyblog for the one reason that we wanted the theme that fits our site.

However, the easyblog theme is not compatible with the newest version of easyblog, and unless i can downgrade to version 3, the easyblog component is of no use to us :/

I imagine that other people has this issue aswell, since the templates needs time to upgrade once you post an update.

Can you help me downgrade to version 3 so that i may use easyblog?

Best regards.
Which JA template are you talking about?

T3 also support Stackideas extensions, you can see it in:
template manager -> your template -> add-ons tab -> Template Extended styles

Also with a few lines of custom css you can problably get the expected design...

We are using a template called JA Sugite.

I've contacted joomlart, who tells me that their theme will not be compatiable with higher then version 3.9 or something.

Hi Asger,

The template was updated on 07 Jul, 2015.
I do not really understand why it can not be compatible.

If you don't mind posting your web url here and point us to the exact design problem you face we possibly can help you...

Hi.

I can provide you the url, however i dont think you will be able to help me unless it can be downgraded.

This is the anserw i got from joomlart support:

For issue please make sure you are not using the latest version of Easyblog .
currently the Theme is compatible with version 3.9.22295 .
So i suggest you to wait for official update to use easyblog with latest easyblog .
Currently there is no update as you know easyblog 5 is out and it take time to update theme .
What version you are using for easyblog and provide screenshot of errors .
Regards,
Pankaj Sharma

If you think you can help me anyway, i will provide you with the link to the folder

Hey Asger,

Unfortunately we are not encourage to downgrade from Easyblog 5 to Easyblog 3, because all the structure already changed, may i know do you have do the backup before you upgrade to Easyblog 5?

* By the way you can put the information in the optional information field below(SITE DETAILS). Don't worry about privacy. Only Support team can view the information.

I have added the site url and hideme/info in the site details.

We do not have any backup from before the component was installed.

Best regards.

Asger,

Maybe you can disable the buit in theme from JA and select the EB5 theme "Timeless" or "Origami" that are very close in design.
some more custom css to those themes can be added to get even closer...

Yes, i have tried using some of the other themes, which works fine.

However the whole idea was that the ja sugite theme is in the same design line as the rest of the site.

I might just try using another theme until joomlart updates this one.

You can ask Stackideas support to help you customize the theme you will select.
As an example here' my EB5 toolbar I customized to my needs...

Okay great.

But will the support help customize?
Usually this sort of thing is not included in the support

Hey Asger,

It would be best you can temporary change to another theme until JA resolve this compatible issue.

Because I have checked in your site, it seems like all the `ja_sugite` theme styling already messed up.

By the way, Thanks for your sharing Supporter
