Certain posts shows the 'valid subscription' message.

Is this a feature that is custom designed just for stackideas website use or is this a standard feature available for EasyDiscuss.
Yes, you need a valid subscription to view posts from particular categories on our site. We have customized this on our end.

I'm looking for something similar but not for subscription.

Are there options in EasyDiscuss that will limit viewing by guests?

Hello Peter,

In Easydiscuss, you can restrict user group from viewing the discussion by category. Here you can adjust the permission for category: http://screencast.com/t/gBAf9tP2rfm .

Hi Nick

Made the change in the demo but when guest view a discussion, it shows 0 reply even though there are 2 listed for registered user.

Is that a bug?

Hello Peter,

Sorry, correct me if I'm wrong, you want to restrict to guest so they don't see the replies in that category, right? If not, can you elaborate more on it?

That is correct. While the replies are not shown (exactly the outcome I expected), the count is showing 0.

I was expecting to see no replies listed for guests and also displaying to the visitor: Responses (2)

Hope I was able to provide a better explanation.

Hello Peter,

Owh, I see. That might be a bug from our end. We will check on this with our developer and will fix it in the future release.

Hi Nik

If it's a confirmed bug, that'll be my first find for stackideas product before purchasing.

Hello Peter,

I've discussed with the developer, it is not a bug. Its purposely to not show the count. By the way, if you want to show the count, please replace the attached file (view.html.php) into this folder: ..\components\com_easydiscuss\views\post\view.html.php. Hope this helps.
