I'm sketching plans to capture select user engagement & related events along with their associated user profile variables to understand user activity on the site, etc using Mixpanel.

My guess is the best approach vis-a-vis ES related activity would be to clone one of the out-of-the-box ES apps, look for the various trigger handlers and place integration hooks there. Is that right? Where's the best place to look to find a list of all possible triggers / event handlers in ES?
Hello Eileen,

This would be a really tricky situation. I can't really give you an exact answer as it all boils down to what "actions" you are trying to track.

Hi Mark, did you ever tested Mixpanel to track users actions/stats on SI extensions ?
Or maybe with another joomla extension ?

Nope, we have never track user actions and we will never track as we believe that it is never ideal to breach our user's trust.

Track is not that bad
Maybe i miss explianed.

When i mean track i would say see how many people registrer, then how of them are active (post a discussion, like a content, connect, etc.), track registration steps, ..

the goal is to enhance UX and add services they need.

Do you find this bad ?

If they were anonymous, perhaps it would be fine but I guess this is where / why GDPR kicks in. All of these are breaching user's privacy.

Imagine if you are using Google Chrome and signed into your account with Google. Because you need to agree to the terms to be able to use Google Chrome, they have every right to track and understand your behavior. Although there is nothing illegal to this because you accepted the terms but it's really not a fair business practice.

We don't track what specific users are doing on our website. They are all anonymous data

Anyway, this is just our stand but I would strongly suggest you post your requests on the feature requests area.
