Hello,

I would like to suggest 'Nearby Groups' as a method for sorting groups in EasySocial by location/distance. This could work the same way as Nearby Events - http://easysocial.stackideas.com/events/nearby.

The majority of groups for our purpose are physical locations and it would be really useful for the user to be able to view/sort groups that are nearby to their location and relevant to them. Additionally it would be wonderful if you could provide an option through google maps for directions to the group location.
+1 for anything related to distance search

Great news. Is there a big difference to implementing this for casual stream items as well? On this way distance search would be working for anything within EasySocial.

I don't think this can be implemented on 2.1 but please do start a new feature request and get more people to vote on it
