Good idea if you also could top it with some smart revenue generating model for it.

+1 here.. they've added Ads to ES but it doesn't have administrative options like:

• Targeting ads using person attributes for example: gender, age, demographics, etc.
  
• Dashboard with Graphs
  
• It would be cool if it will have an option to monetize the Ad, not using a separate component but from within ES.
  

An interesting idea : the Product Catalog on Facebook.

I think that the current Advertisement system can evolve, and allow for example users to add an ad from the front-end.

I like the concept of Ecwid from Product Catalog. You could imagine the same thing in Groups and EasySocial Pages.

At the same time it would suffice that we can add a menu to a page that displays all the advertisements.
Only one thing is missing, the categories of Advertisements.

There is a lot in common between a Classified, an Advertisement, and Market Place.
