Im not sure how do you set your favicon on your site. However, I have helped you fix this and it should be working fine now. Here is the screenshot: http://take.ms/YOqD2 . Please help me check and verify all working fine.

By the way, Joomla by default will search for favicon.ico from your current template; Elegant is your current template in which there is already a default favicon.ico. So, if Joomla find this favicon.ico from your template, it will directly use this favicon instead. Therefore, by replacing this favicon.ico with your desired favicon, it will fixed this issue.
