Just upgraded Easy Blog and the current modules / plugins and have discovered that the 'My Blog Posts' JomSocial plugin (application) now displays my blog posts on all profile pages - not just my own.

Previously the plugin would display blog posts from the current user - e.g. if you viewed 'mr x's' profile, you would only see mr x's blog posts displayed.

This behaviour also differs depending if you are logged in or not. If I am not logged in the plugin simply says 'User has not created any blog entries yet'

Please advise.
Hello,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hi Nick,

Working fine here. You need to access by SFTP and only through the port specified.

HI Mark,

Sorry please try again. I had IP restrictions set within my hosts file, I have temporarily disabled these to allow you access.

Can you also please delete the screenshot showing my login details too

Hmmmnnn, not too sure why. Should be good to go.

If you need to upload a file it might be easier / quicker if I did it?

Really not sure why you cannot access, perhaps you did not accept the certificate?

However, never mind. Having taken a look myself I have found the following:

in the function onProfileDisplay() ...

$this->_user->id;

...resolves to be the current viewing user NOT the user profile being viewed.

So when the posts are retrieved using ...

$rows = $this->_getLatestPost($userId, ...

The incorrect userid is used.

Hence the error "User has not created any blog entries yet" when not being logged in (userid is zero), and only being able to see my blog posts no matter who's profile I view (current viewing userid).

I've now fixed this on my site but it would be good if you could fix it for your next update so that my site does not break again.

Ironically you didn't need access to my site to diagnose this as this will give the same result on all sites (including your test site)

Happy to trade you the solution for a subscription to Easy Social.

Hello DeeEmm,

Hm, the code $this->_user is an instantiated object given through JomSocial's api. Unless they have changed this in their latest version? I am not really sure but I don't have a copy of their latest version to really test this. Anyhow, this plugin requires a major overhaul in EasyBlog 4.0

Hmnnnnn, so no Jomsocial, no update and no fix.

I have a similar issue with requests to develop plugins for Easy Social. From one dev to another - maybe we can help each other out.

My offset still stands.

I used to do a lot of custom work but now just generally small integrations for JomSocial. I have a lot of calls to port some of my plugins to easy social but I have not looked into that yet as you do not support events.

You can see my current offerings in my web store - http://deeemm.com/store

Do you own a license for the plugin? You need to obtain it from http://stackideas.com/jomsocial-addons

I'm afraid you're talking about sth else. What I'm using is 'My Blog Posts' JomSocial Plugin.

Hi Mark,

I download it here:

http://stackideas.com/downloads/archives/plg_easyblog_jomsocial

Or you can find it here:
http://stackideas.com/downloads/plugins

It's a free plugin, but I don't know how old it is.
