Hello,

I would like to set up a page with the blogs of the user currently logged in.
Therefore I selected 'My Blog Layout' at the menu link but it isn't working, it features all blogs on the site.
Please help. this is the site http://datenight.bitnamiapp.com/joomla

thank you
jess
Hello Jessica,

I am sorry but I am not really sure how I can view the "My Blogs Layout" since I need to be logged into the site but I don't have the access to your site

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
You don't need access anyone can register and this would be the page where the logged in registered user would have their own blogs featured http://datenight.bitnamiapp.com/joomla/index.php/my-d8s/my-stuff/my-d8book
Problem is it doesn't see to do it just for the logged in person it does it for everyone.

So my question is:
If I want a page which generates to show only the blogs for the current user logged in, am I correct to have the menu link to the My Blog Layout Page?
This is what I am doing but it doesn't seem to work.

Please advise

If you need more information / access please let me know how i give it to you securely.
Thank you
Jess

Hello Jessica,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Correct me if i getting wrong your requirement here, do you mean that you would like your blog frontpage layout not able to give public user to access?

If yes, you should set your menu item to "Easyblog Frontpage layout" and set "Registered" access. check my screenshot below.

If no, can you elaborate more details on your current requirement? Please advise.

Hello,

Thank you so much for trying but you are misunderstanding me. I am sorry I will try to explain it better.

So, I have a global blogger site where I want anyone to be able to blog their own stories.

I created a menu link using the Easyblog/My Blog Layout. I was expecting a user to click this menu item, and it would display the blog entries that they have created.

Instead, it shows blog entries for all users on the site, not just them.

Is there any way to have a menu/page item that displays blog entries only of the logged in user ?

Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks so much
Jess

Hello Jess,

Hm, the "My Blog Layout" should behave exactly as you pointed out. If I have a user "userxx" and created 3 blog posts with this user, it should display the 3 blog posts created by me only. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

hey jess,
thanks for the login details. checking the site with the link you provided it seems as everything's working as expected. once I login to the page and navigate to the my-d8book link only the posts that were written by the logged in user account are showing up.

are you perhaps referring to the section above the actual blog posts (the module with the gray background)? if so then this is coming from the image wall module you assigned to the page. this is not checking for the user and therefore displays all the posts.

if this section is not what you're referring to but you get wrong entries in the actual easyblog list (that I can't replicate here) please attach a screenshot here so that we can investigate further.

have a nice day
