Hi,

On the "My Blog Layout" that lists the entries of a user, I would like the title and image link to go directly to the "public" blog.

At the moment, the link goes to /your-events/entry/blog-title (private page), but I would like it to go to /events/entry/blog-title (public page).

Thanks

Ian
Hi Ian,

I am sorry as I not quite sure what you're trying to achieve here. Perhaps if you can provide us link and any appropriate screenshot of your request?

And can you provide us with backend access and FTP access so that we can have a better look on this issue.

Please advise.

Sorry for the confusion.

You'll need to login with the attached credentials to see these pages:

On this page: http://familyweek.com.au/your-events (Menu item > EasyBlog > My Blog Layout)

I would like the title and image link of the blog to go to it's default URL (e.g: http://familyweek.com.au/whats-happening/entry/easterfest) NOT to http://familyweek.com.au/your-events/entry/easterfest.

Please see attached pic.

Also, on the "Your Events" page, I only want to see the "Events" category. Can this be changed to only display 1 certain category?

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian,

I am sorry for the late reply,

I have tried to login to your site but it seems like you haven't activate our access yet. http://screencast.com/t/leqshYTbJtq . By the way, let me simplify your issues:
1. You would like the title and image link of the blog using this menu item: whats-happening instead of your-events
You need to provide us access to your site in order to assist you on this.

2. On the "Your Events" page, I only want to see the "Events" category. Can this be changed to only display 1 certain category?
If I understand you correctly, you can use menu item single category for this. Am I missing anything here?

Hope this helps and please advise.

Thanks for your reply.

1. To login to the front-end of the site the username needs to be my email address (see Site Details > Site Username below). But to login to the back-end the username and password is in the Optional Information field below.

2. The "Your Events" page is a list of blogs written by the current logged-in user. I would like this to only display blogs in the "Events" category.

Kind regards,

Ian

Hey Ian,

Currently the "My Blog" layout doesn't allow you to filter by category on the site. You can't explicitly have that menu display only blog posts created by you on a specific category. I will log this down into our issue tracker and we'll try to see if we can add this in 5.0.17

I still haven't received any support for this.

Please see the attached login details (please note the logins for front-end and backend are different).

Thanks

Hi Ian,

I am sorry for the late reply. I have missed your post earlier.

I have inspected your site and it seems to be working correctly now. I have clicked the title and the image and it gives me the correct url. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/nXUieveQFU . Am I missing anything here? Perhaps you can point to us on how you get the /your-events/entry/easterfest .

Please advise.

Hi,

If you go to http://familyweek.com.au/your-events (a list of the user's blogs) the link goes to /your-events/entry/blog-title. I would like it to go to /whats-happening/entry/blog-title

Also, I would like to change the routing behaviour of these links:

1. When a user creates a new blog the "Submit for Review" button should go to /your-events

2. In the "Blog Post Pending Review" email notification to the moderator, the "Review Post" button should go to /approve-events

3. When the moderator approves the new post by clicking "Approve Post" on the blog page, it should go to /whats-happening/entry/blog-title

4. In the "Blog Approved" email notification to the user, the "View Post" button should go to /whats-happening/entry/blog-title

If I could get these links changed, I would be very grateful!

Thank you so much,

Ian

Hey Ian,

To enforce all URLs to route via /whats-happening/ , you can't choose the option "Use Current Active Menu Itemid" for the routing behavior. You need to configure it to use the "Default Routing Behavior". This way, EasyBlog will try to locate a menu id to be used for your entry's link.

As for your other inquiries, please find my response below:

1. When a user creates a new blog the "Submit for Review" button should go to /your-events

Unfortunately right now this is not possible but if you need to hack it, you need to edit the file /components/com_easyblog/controllers/dashboard.php

I have already changed the routing behavior to "Default Routing Behavior" and the links will point to accordingly to their menus right now.

Hi Mark,

Is there a hack that can achieve this in EasyBlog 3.9?

Or alternatively, is there a way to hack the "Latest Blog Module" so it can only display blogs by the logged in user?

Thanks

Ian

Hey Ian,

Unfortunately we don't have a hack for this on 3.9. This enhancement has already been applied on 5.0.19 by the way

Hi Mark

Thanks for your reply.

I have installed EasyBlog 5, but can't seen to hide elements using CSS. In past versions it has been easy to customise the "Write Blog" page by hiding certain elements using CSS.

But custom CSS doesn't seem to affect the new composer window.

For example:

div#editor-xtd-buttons.btn-toolbar.pull-left {
display:none;
}

...does not hide the editor buttons in the composer window.

How can I modify what elements are displayed?

Thanks

Ian

Hey lan,

Can you try this following css code and see how it goes?

div#fd.eb #editor-xtd-buttons {
display: none !important;
}

If still can't, you can actually disable those button from your backend > extension > plugin manager > button - article / button - readmore - NO(Disable) . Hope this helps.
