I am starting two separate blogs (completely different topics) on the same web site. I am trying out two approaches - either using a single category view for each or using a separate team blog for each. I am still testing to see which to use. But, I would like to use a different theme for each, and that doesn't look possible. Without the ability to do that EasyBlog isn't really a multiblog component. So here are my questions...

1. How do I assign a different overall theme to either category or a team?
2. How do I use template overrides when two themes are being overriden? In your override notes you describe how to do it but the overrides would work for overriding one theme only.

Thank you!
I'd like to ask for the update of this thread. Is EasyBlog able to do this (different theme for categories)

Just for your information, EasyBlog 4.0, you can choose to use different themes per category basis using template overrides.

My designer just gave me a number of different blog styles intended to link to different categories... any ETA on EasyBlog 4 yet? And confirmation that it will indeed be able to link different themes to different categories and/or posts?

Thanks!

Hello Quinn,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Yes, with EasyBlog 5 you will be able to set a different layout files for each category layout.

Has anyone tried using a different template (based on menu item), and creating an override in that template?
