We have 2 Payplans rules in places, one using automation and the other using Plans Limited subscription.

The Automation rule assigns a user to a free plan when their paid plan expires.
The Limit subscription rule only allows a user to have 1 free membership plan (its a lifetime plan).

Under this scenario, what will happen when the automation rule kicks in but there is already an active free plan in place?

In this case, as you have applied limit 1 to free plan , so when automation rule kick in then free plan will not assigned to user as already subscribed by user. So Limit rule will apply in that case.

It seems that the 2 rules will work nicely together for what we want.
