Hello,

The last time that my client has published his blog... Some peoples had receive 5 or 6 times the same notification.

Is it a problem from the hosting company? We have the last version of easyblog.

Andre
I've checked on your site, It seems like the current setup is like this, that is why it spend so long time to send to your site subscriber.

Total of subscriber email notification when new blog post published.
=> 654

Cron time interval
=> every 5 minute

How many emails send out when the cron run.
=> 5 emails

So in order to send out all the pending email to your site subscriber, you have to wait at least 10 hours.

Now i already help you set every 5 minute send out 60 emails, it should send out all the pending emails faster than before now.

May i know do you have setup cronjob on your server yet?

If you enabled to use "Send emails on page load" to send out notification to your site subscriber, it might caused this issue.

Perhaps you can try take a look this documentation how to configure cronjob on your server.

https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/cronjobs

If you need assistance on this, can you update your Joomla backend and Cpanel access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

Hello Andre,

It looks like the "Send e-mail on page load" has already been disabled which is good but I can't really check on your cronjob settings. Can I know how was the cronjob setup? Is it possible for you to provide us with the cpanel access that you used to setup the cronjob?

Also, can we publish a test blog post to test out the notifications?

Hi Mark,

I add the Cpanel information in my dashboard.

It seems from the hosting company, that too much email notification has been sent
the last time...

I hope that we have now the solution.

You can check the CRON but I think, it's correct. He has been check by our hosting provider.

Thank for your help

Hello Andre,

I have configured the cron so that it runs every 10 minutes rather than every 5 minutes. There is a possibility that multiple requests was being fired which caused the emails to be sent twice.

Also, I have updated the cron command as the earlier command isn't entirely correct.

Hello Mark,

Thanks for your verification. In the case of my client, our provider said that the quantity of notifications was so large
that we have been block by others services.

I will inform my client about this. Now we are sure that all will be ok.

Good weekend

Actually that is not error, that is the cron response which mentioned that is fine when the cron process then send to this email blog@jacquesgauthier.com .

I already help you remove this email from the cron mail section, this email (blog@jacquesgauthier.com) shouldn't receive any cron response message now, can you give it a check is it work fine now?

Hello Mark,

Can you verify the CRON... I did change at 5 minutes...

But now that the parameter page on load is off.

For around 6 hours... My client said that the notifications take 7 hours to send!!!

But my client don't want any "doublons"...

Can you check.

You have the parameters on the dashboard

Thank for your help.
