I am running into an issue where members are receiving multiple, duplicate e-mails. When a new post is made, they should receive one notification of the new posts. Some members are receiving as many as four or five notification e-mails. When I check subscriptions, they are subscribed only once that I can see.
It seems like you provided that backend login credentials no longer can access, this is what i hitting now :

Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

May i know do you have setup cronjob on your server? If don't have, you can refer our documentation here http://stackideas.com/docs/easydiscuss/cronjobs or you can update your site Cpanal access which can setup cronjob so we can assist you to setup this.

If you have enabled this "Send email on page load" setting, it might caused this send out duplicate email notification to your site subscriber. If your site very active (a lot of user visit on your site) this setting will not suitable to use it here.
