Correct me if i getting wrong your meaning here, do you mean that you would like to restrict some of the user group can't able to access in your forum right?

If yes, that was possible to set it from your backend > EasyDiscuss > categories > select your category > click permission tab > set which user group you would like to restrict. Hope this help.
