Hello Kaliya,

I had added my email as admin as you can see on the screen shot below but did not receive any email on page load on the front end,
screenshot --> http://screencast.com/t/n70zjklQ1yv

It it possible that you had set your cron job.. it seems there is a few new post email is pending in your mail activity.

There is a possibility if a user enters
http://silvergoldadvisor.com/option=com_easyblog&task=cron
on the browser and the pending mail will be sent.

Hope that helps,

Thanks:)

I should tell you that I'm using XT Cronjob component for EasyBlog cronjobs.

Hello Kaliya,

Please disable your cronjob if you do not want any notification to be send, cronjob should be in your admin panel / cpanel. Your XT Cronjob however did not run the task to send you the email. Please clean your mail pool in backend -> component -> easyblog -> mail activity and switch off any notification. That will stop you from getting email notification.

Hi Khairul,

Thanks for looking into it. I do need email notifications and have tried my Control Panel cronjob, but it is not a normal CPanel-like one - the server has it's own custom made one, which only can run every hour.

So, please let me know how to set-up a cronjob that will work with XTCronjob?

Also, after upgrading to the latest Joomla 3.2.0 and EB, I see this warning in backend:

JLIB_MAIL_FUNCTION_OFFLINE

Can you tell me if it's related to the notification issue?

Kindly,
Kaliya

Hello Kaliya,

Sorry for the confusion earlier, I hope I understand you correctly, please advice me if im not. I had created the cronjob via XT Cronjob for you and it seem too be working and sending your pending mails in your mail pool.

Hello Kaliya,

From what I see in backend -> component -> easyblog -> settings -> notigication -> blogs you only set notification for "Notify site's subscribers on new entries" please set. Please set the notification you would like to receive.
Screenshot --> http://screencast.com/t/3jaHTkgR

Could you tell me where did you see this "JLIB MAIL FUNCTION OFFLINE" as mention on your previous post, maybe a screen shot if its possible? I am not seeing it as I enter the backend, I must be missing it somehow, please advice.

Thanks:)
