This is helpful, but I'd like to say that being able to assign a post to multiple categories is a VERY basic feature. It's available on Wordpress. If it's good enough for Wordpress, I can't imagine that EasyBlog users would have unique concerns by category. Wordpress is the standard and the only reason I am using EasyBlog is because of other components e.g. JReviews that did not have a Wordpress equivalent (at least not of the same calibre). I needed a blog to go along. it would be great if EasyBlog would strive towards the Wordpress standard.

I keep reading forum posts suggesting to use tags as a way to achieve multiple categories but no one has explained how to do that. Can you elaborate? I am in the same situation where the client is specifically asking to tag blog posts to show them in different categories. How would I get tagged posts to show under a category?

I am running the latest release of joomla and easyblog.

I am sorry for the late reply.
You can achieved this by assigning the same tag for different blogpost. Hence, you can filter the blogpost using tag and have a multiple categories blogpost. For example,
blogpost-A has tag-B,
blogpost-b has tag-B

So, by clicking at tag-B, this two blogpost will be displayed in which it's "illustrate" the multiple category for blogpost.
