Our blog is multilingual and I have noticed that the opening text in SETTINGS > GENERAL cant be translated.

Please can you tell me where I can do this?

Does this need to be done in the language ini files?

Regards
Hey Leon,

I do not really understand where your translation issue is in EasyBlog's Settings>General. Did you mean that all of the EasyBlog's backend is still in English even though you switched to another language in Joomla?

If that is so, then you need to install the language pack in EasyBlog as well. To do this, head to EasyBlog's backend>Languages. Once you have selected your desired language, just click install and EasyBlog will have that language installed.
Hope this helped you solve your issue.

Morning Raymond

The part that I need to translate is Blog Title and Blog Description as this is being put on the homepage. In addition to this these items cannot be left blank so there is no way to do a workaround.

Hi Leon,

I am not sure what your intention is but your options here are:
1. Do an override translation to show different languages in their respective sites
http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/how-tos/how-to-create-language-string-override
Once you done following the instructions in the tutorial for both blog title and description, you can head to your General settings and input your language constant respectively for both.

2. You can definitely remove the Blog Title and Blog Description header if you want to, just head to Settings>Layout>Toolbar>General. Then disable Enable Headers Above Toolbar and Enable Headers Description Above Toolbar

Hope this helps.
If you are still experiencing issues settings language overrides or removing the header let me know. Thanks.
