Hi

I wonder how you set up the description text for example pages and other categories you create with EasySocial (EB too) where its only possible to have one description text there for only one language ie English for the description text for each category you create there.

You can change the fields text there and translate but how do you do with the category text description?

Cheers!
It seems like currently that was not possible to support this, perhaps you can try download my attached file and replace into this following file and see how it goes?

1. Replace the files.
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/pages/category/default.php
JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/helpers/miniheader/objects.php

2. Once you replace those files into your site, you have to put some language constant from your each "PAGE" categories description from backend, you can check my attached screenshot below, so you can translate it in different language on your site regarding this language constant what you add into the "PAGE" category description.

ok thnks missed this will try to do it. All these multi langauge issues would be better I think to have a special EasyBlog & EasySocial own override language files really. So when you update ES & EB the translation would not be lost. So EB & ES have their own language constand override translation files stored with respective component.

What you think? Joomlas override is more of a general solution when you have problem with some few translations..

cheers!

Actually what my previous response did explained you can override those language translation in Joomla override file, you can check my above screenshot.

Once you created those custom language constant file, it actually stored it in this following file automatically.
E.g. JoomlaFolder/language/overrides/xx-XX.override.ini (xx-XX is language code) ,

so these changes will not lost when you update Easyblog or EasySocial in the future.

Yes I use Joomlas override langauges and its very good and powerful.

But I also use another solution that is even more powerful and better and that have created its own override system where you translate all keywords directly within that Joomla component.

So it was more something like this I was thinking of where EB/ES have their own UI with translations of create a customized language file that you manually can translate or solution with ftp it to the different language langauge folders. So that file will override EB/ES updated langage files always....

Thanks for your input, I believe most of the Joomla extension also will use what Joomla provided that language override build-in feature, once you added new custom language override constant from backend, it will store in this following language file and it will not get override your changes when you update Joomla or other extension on your site.

English language :
-> JoomlaFolder/language/overrides/en-GB.override.ini

Yes, all these will be support in EasySocial 2.1

But you have to put those language constant from your Group/Event/Page category page, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.
