I have an an old Joomla 2.8 site with easyblog 3.9.24862 with over 60 entries.

I am redeveloping the site with Joomla 3.8 and have installed the empty blog. Can I transfer the blog posts from the old installation to the new one somehow?

I suspect that it isn't as simple as copying the database content.
Hey Tom,

How do you plan to upgrade to Joomla 3.x? Do you plan to replicate the site or start from a fresh site? I personally recommend that you upgrade the existing site rather than replicating the site as it would be much easier.

I already have a new site under development but I can try to upgrade the existing site.
I have never had any success atoving from Joomla 2 to 3. Always end up starting from scratch after a failed attempt.
If you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Hey Tom,

Ah I see. Have you tried following the guide at https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_2.5_to_3.x_Step_by_Step_Migration ?

Thanks, I was finally able to do it with your link. I found that Akeeba backup was creating problems so I uninstalled it and have been successful.
