I have a little bit lost here, may i know what is your current issue?

Based on what i checked, it look like this custom module 'Most Commented' already hardcoded default content, you can check my attached screenshot below.

Errrrr if you look at my picture and yours it shows generic content from Most Commented Lorum Ipsum text...random ES users (like your demo site) not members of my site.

That should not be showing in my live site. If there are no comments then it should show nothing.

If users commented it should show users from my site and their comments.

I am really sorry that I still not really understand what you trying to achieve here.

Because this "Most Commented" module which appear on your site is actually a custom module instead of Easysocial module, you can check this screenshot here : https://take.ms/8GG0Q

If you edit this custom module what I mentioned in above screenshot, you will noticed that someone put the hardcoded content inside this module, this is why it show this default content into your site.

And I am not sure who help you did this on your site regarding this module, but you can simply disable this module on your site backend and clear your backend cache, so it shouldn't appear on your site.

Ok finally managed to get back to this now...so sorry for disappearing.

Before one of the updates I used to have a col in that location which showed the most commented stories or something similar. Then this generic module appeared.

Is there some easy social module that can be in that position which shows the feed of comments or something similar? Like a highlights or top story etc.

I've checked all the existing Easysocial module, it seems like currently we do not have this such of module to show the most commented stream item.
