Hi,

I have a list of issues that I need help with.

1. I don’t want my Blog Title to be any type of header text. Where can I change this?

Multiple problems with the Toolbar Feature buttons.

1. Home goes to: http://www.simplyadditions.com/EasyBlog/Uncategorized.html
it should go to: http://www.simplyadditions.com/Blog/latest.html

2. Categories doesn't actually show all of my configured categories, instead it displays the uncategorized category.

3. Tag: I click this and I have no idea what it really did except change the url. Tags are configured to display at the bottom of the blog posts already. Clicking this does nothing.

4. Show Bloggers: only displays my superuser, so I had to delete the URL from ACESEF. Why doesn’t this display the only blogger I’m using to write with?

5. Show Settings: when toggled nothing seems to change.

Looking forward to your response,
Voitek
Hello Voitek Klimczyk,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
1. I don’t want my Blog Title to be any type of header text. Where can I change this?
>> You can change it from your backend > Easyblog > Setting > Workflow > General > Blog Info

Multiple problems with the Toolbar Feature buttons.

1. Home goes to: http://www.simplyadditions.com/EasyBlog/Uncategorized.html
it should go to: http://www.simplyadditions.com/Blog/latest.html

>> Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this issues? Please advise.

2. Categories doesn't actually show all of my configured categories, instead it displays the uncategorized category.
>> Do you mean that the categories page doesn't show up all the category in this page right?

3. Tag: I click this and I have no idea what it really did except change the url. Tags are configured to display at the bottom of the blog posts already. Clicking this does nothing.
>> Do you mean that when you click the Tag button on the toolbar, it doesn't go to that tag page right? (same as home button). I'm suspect that is problem with the SEO setting. Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this issues? Please advise.

4. Show Bloggers: only displays my superuser, so I had to delete the URL from ACESEF. Why doesn’t this display the only blogger I’m using to write with?
>> Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this issues? Please advise.

5. Show Settings: when toggled nothing seems to change.
>> Do you mean that when you configure the show setting to "YES", but the toolbar doesn't show out this button?

Hi,

My biggest problems now are with the Easyblog right now are the stock button mappings. I don't understand why these standard buttons are simply not working properly.
Example: If I click the home icon, I should be brought to the homepage of the blog http://www.simplyadditions.com/Blog/latest.html and not http://www.simplyadditions.com/Blog/TAGS/winter-weather.html instead.

I did not modify Easyblog code and I do have the ACESEF special plugin for ACESEF, so I'm not sure why there would be any problem unless there's a problem with the easyblog code itself.

The EB buttons simply don't map to the correct places and I tried deleting all easyblog URL mappings from ACESEF to see if the newly created URL's would fix the problems = they didn't.

For now I disabled most of the Easyblog buttons, since they do not work properly.

Header text problem described before: I went to where you instructed and the option is already disabled, yet the blog title is an h1 on every blog page.
Auto append blog title in page title = disabled

1. Do you have a policy on accessing a clients website in place? Is so, please direct me to it.

2. Is it possible to do a VNC or Google Hangout Session during the time someone is accessing my website to troubleshoot these problems?

3. Is Super User privileges the minimum rights you need to do your due diligence?

4.. Will there be a log of actions and changes made that I can view afterwards. I prefer doing things myself so that I can learn how to make the same changes in the future if needed. I don't want to be tied to constantly buying a subscription to Easyblog because of custom code changes to EasyBlog or my Joomla.

This blog belongs to a production website; so I cannot just let anyone try things that may disrupt my traffic, income, saved URL's or current/future SEO. I would greatly prefer providing you with photo's or videos of whatever you need access to instead. Let me know, what you want to do. If you need super user access, I'm going to have to setup a development server.

The DEV server will be an exact replica of the site. You'll have to make a custom mapping in your hosts file on your PC or MAC to point my domain name to the ip address of my development server. Everything will function 100% as if your accessing the live site. Here's an example of what would have to be done on your end in case your're not familiar with this.

Example: in your hosts file we will need to add a record that looks like this:
simplyadditions.com 1.1.1.1
http://www.simplyadditions.com 1.1.1.1
