Hi guys,

Im wondering if you could give me a little advice. Im trying to make a dating site, and love ES, but there are just a few things missing for me. I need to be able to view a listing of users with a larger avatar, and abit more info then EasySocial's current user listing.

Kind of like this;
http://lovefactory.thefactory.ro/component/lovefactory/advanced-search?form[looking][]=0&form[looking][]=1

I also really love this layout but, I dont think Jreviews lists users (Id love to be wrong!, please correct me if I am)
http://demo.reviewsforjoomla.com/most-recent-listings

Id also like a larger area in the profile for information, kinda like this;
http://lovefactory.thefactory.ro/component/lovefactory/profile/64?Itemid=105

Basically Im wondering if this kind of thing is in the roadmap for ES?
If not do you know if these third party extensions are integrating, or any others that are?

Thanks
Katie

Hello Katie,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as I was currently not available during the weekend as I was attending a Joomla conference in Thailand. Hm, the user's information is displayed when you click on the "About" user link. We don't want the layout to look bad by displaying all their information in the profile page.

Hi Mark

Tonight I have been all over google, on the hunt for what I need, Im really trying to figure out how I can have a detailed profile page, and more detailed user listing. I cant seem to find a good extension, except for Jreviews which interests me.

They list things and places etc, rather then users, but Im thinking of way I could bend it to work for me. I was thinking of getting new users to apply to me before being approved, and then I can create a "review" or listing of each new user. That way I can have a page of users listed like the products usually are. They can be advanced searched too. Also this means I can moderate the pictures being uploaded into the "listing" (user profile in this case)

Im thinking I will get them to apply to my site, through ES (creating a ES profile) and then I will send them a Jreviews listing page to complete before approval.

I noticed on an article you wrote "EasySocial Integrations with JReviews" there is a picture (attached)
http://stackideas.com/blog/easysocial-integrations-with-jreviews

The picture shows James L H. Id love my ES user profiles to look like this, but with the stream below. This would be my ultimate dream for integrating ES and Jreviews. To have a users information like this, and also having a great users listing page, similar looking as this;

http://demo.reviewsforjoomla.com/top-editor-rated-listings

Do you think what Im describing is at all possible?

Another possibility is to add a listing widget like this in the ES profile;
http://demo.reviewsforjoomla.com/widgets?wid=1

This could take people to a more detailed profile of the user.
I prefer the first option though, looking like that James L H picture I mentioned on the opening profile page, if possible.

Thanks
Katie

You can actually customize the user's listing on EasySocial to actually help you achieve something like what JReview has but this would require quite a bit of customization though.

Would anybody there mind helping with the customization? Or adding it into a theme in the future?

I would love a short intro, or snippet of profile information in the user listing, like Jreviews has.

Would it be easier to buy Jreviews and integrate them?

Thanks Mark
