Hi,

I have an arrowchatbar which sits in the footer area of my site. I have installed EasyDiscuss, and when I add the modules to my template sidebar positions, it pushes my chatbar to the far left of the screen.

Sidebar module position work fine in my other pages i.e. easysocial and easyblog - on those pages my chatbar fills the footer area as it should do.

Is there something in the easydiscuss template that I need to change so my chatbar isn't pushed to one side?

Or, alternatively, are there right and left side positions in EasyDiscuss as there are in easysocial that I could use instead?

Kind regards

Mel
Hey Mel,

It seems like that arrowchatbar jQuery conflict with Easydiscuss, I've help you disabled this "Load jQuery (Recommended to leave it on)" option from Easydiscuss backend, it should work fine now, can you give it a check?

Hi Mel,
I have trouble finding the pages having the issues that you mentioned.
Can you provide me these information so I can better investigate the issue?
1. screenshots and url of the pages having these issues
2. backend and ftp access(they are currently not working)
Let us know, thanks.

Hi Raymond,

my apologies for delay.

I will need to create a demo copy of the site so you can view it so please bear with me (if i can get away with doing this it would be so much easier ..).

My problem only occurs if I add the side menus (it seems any EasyDiscuss module i.e. 'EasyDiscuss Categories' in position sidebar-2) if I don't have any sidebar-2 modules it displays fine. I also have EasySocial installed, but the sidebar-2 modules display perfectly in that.

I am using a T3Framework template provided by Joomdonation, so I don't know if that is important? Although it works beautifully for all other stack products.

Is there anything I can send that would save me having to create a demo site that would help you? If not don't worry, it will just take me a couple of days.

Kind regards

mel

Hey Mel,
Unfortunately, I could not pin point the issue without looking at the site. With a third party template, it is possible to have conflicts as well. One thing you can do is switch to default protostar template and see if the issue persists. If the issue persist, it could be some other factor that's causing it.
You would have to set up a duplicate test site so we can investigate the issue with more precision.

P.S: You can append ?tp=1 at the end of your site url to see what position are available on that page(http://take.ms/7BOfu). From there, you can decide which positions to use in module positioning.

Hi Raymond,

apologies for the delay. I have installed on my demo site and the problem is still there as you will see. I have added the correct site/login/ftp details to my first post.

If you click on the Forums link on my demo site you will see that when there is a right sidebar-2 menu it effects the chatbar in the footer.

Kind regards

Mel

Hi Mel,
I checked your demo site and I saw the ArrowChat for a little while then it stopped displaying. I tried unpublishing the forum categories module but the arrowchat still does not display. Did you make any changes to the site that might remove ArrowChat from the footer?

Hey Mel,
Just to update you. We found that for some reason, the ArrowChat display seems to be working in other EasyDiscuss page on and off. On the Forums page, even without any modules on sidebar-2, ArrowChat display is still having the same issue. We will investigate further and see what is causing the issue.
