Since using the current update for EasyBlog through either the Component's update link or in Extensions > Update, now all modules I don't use are installed anyway and show up in Extensions > Discover. Is this intentional? I'd like to keep my Joomla! files lean and only have on the server what I'm actually using. That means with each update I have to manually delete the files for each module / plugin I don't want. Is there some way to prevent this in the future?

Joomla 3.8.12
EasyBlog 5.2.9
If you wouldn't want to install those module during update, you have to download the launcher installer from your dashboard https://stackideas.com/dashboard then upload through your site backend installer page and proceed that installation.

After that, you can untick that install module option, so it will not install those module into your site.
