I suspect this issue is due the old version of Joomla. You should try updating Joomla to the latest(after backups) and see if the issue persists.

I remember experiencing a similar issue myself and it was solved when I updated my Joomla to the latest.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

I believe my colleague referring your site Joomla version instead of Easyblog version.

Based on what i checked, that is not only Easyblog module having this issue, your other existing module also hitting the same issue.

It would be best if you can consider to update your Joomla version to latest 3.8.1.

But before you update your site to Joomla version 3.8.1, it would be good if you can setup staging site so you can try upgrade your Joomla version from there first and see your existing component did compatible with Joomla 3.8.1 .
