Hello,
In ED, there is an issue with certain configurations and moderation.
1. If a user posts a question that goes in to moderation (tested with a guest post) then the item correctly goes in to moderation. However, it is given a URL that is publicly accessible. While the item will not appear in category listings and modules, a spam post could still be posted and URL sent to others and accessed. So if for example, there we nasty content in a moderated post, one would still be able to access that post by simply knowing the URL. This is a bad practice. I would think the item should be totally unpublished until approved.
2, There is a problem with using any kind of page caching and ED with moderation. If a post goes in to moderation, this message appears:
This discussion is currently under moderation from a site moderator. Once the discussion is published, you will be notified via your email.
If the post is then published, that message will still appear on top of the post. Is there any way to trigger a clear cache with approving a post?
Jordan
