Hi,

I would like to create an account with moderation rights. So I've created a user, assign the user to this group "Assistance". In the Easy discuss category I've setup the user group as moderator (see attached).

Then when I login on frontend and don't see any of the moderation tools (like remove the posts...).
Do I missed something?

Cheers,
Hey Tristan,

I have consulted with the developers and can confirmed that currently moderating features on the frontend of ED is not possible. However moderation from the back end is still possible.

To assign moderators at the backend and the same time not giving them super user rights,my suggestion is to setup another user group that can access the backend just for post moderation. You can do this by setting up the permissions of the user group. You can do this at:
System>Global Configuration>EasyDiscuss>"yourUserGroupname".
From there you can configure the features available for your backend moderator user group(e.g: as shown in first screenshot).

After that when you login a user under that group, you can see that the user only has features that are permissive only to his/her group(2nd screenshot).

Hey Tristan,

This issue is most likely related to the ACL or user group settings.
Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site so we can check on this issue?

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't unless I create a staging. I would do that in extreme case.
Check the permission of the group attached.

Let me know.

Hi,

Thanks, it would have been easier just to to assign a moderator on categories that have all access on post edition, move, merge... like on all forums

Cheers,

Hey Tristan,

Thanks a lot for your input. Having the option to do frontend moderation is an important feature and a ticket regarding this has been forwarded to our development team. It will be considered for development and implementation in future versions.
