Hi,

Is it possible to set that just Author of post can moderate this post (discussion)?
I try to set as you see on attachment (that can moderate Author, Editor, Publisher..) but dont go. Is this setting just for category or also for posts inside category?

Kind regards
Hi Uros,
What kind of moderation actions are you referring to that is not working? The settings in the screenshot do apply to all posts in that category.
Remember you can also set moderation permissions in the ACL section too.

Hi,
The basic what I mean is that User which create new post (post owner) get buttons for manage his post (attachment "A").
So... if User create New post... that than can Lock post, set as "hold on", "working on"... etc.. but I dont know if this is good idea

One more thing... where (or how) you get button "moderate" (attachment "B" from your page)?

Kind regards

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Based on what i see you already set correctly, it should able to show those moderation option in the post.

Perhaps you can provide us following details so we can better have a check?

1. Which user account you trying to login on frontpage
2. Which discussion post didn't show that moderation option even that user have the permission to moderate that discussion post?

Hi,

No problem for delay... also I something testing and dont have every day time for discussing here

Maybe this discussion I dont open on true way... for better explanation maybe is better that I say what I wish to get and you answer what is the best way to get this... ok?

So... basically I dont wont that User as User have own category and managed it.
My wish is that Group or Page will have own "forum" or Category.
I think that UserA create GroupA, we create Category "GroupA" for this GroupA and give permissions to UserA to manage this Category "GroupA".
Or... UserB create PageB, we create Category "PageB" for this PageB and give permissions to UserB to manage this Category "PageB".
So... Group or Page owner have permissions to manage Category which we prepare for him.
Maybe is the way something with User Groups on backend? That for each Group or Page we create new User Group and give permissions just for this User Group?
What is the best or easiest way?

Kind regards

Thanks for understand.

Yes, it seems like you propose that ideas is the best way to achieve this, perhaps you can check my following analysis and see is it help on this?

1. Create "Group A" and "Page B" categories.

2. Create 2 single category menu item for "Group" and "Page", then assign "Group A" and "Page B" category into these single category menu item "Group" and "Page".

3. Create 2 Joomla users group for "Group A" and "Page B".

4. Assign those new user into these Joomla users group.

5.
Set Category "Group A" moderate permission only this "Group A" user group can able to moderate the post.
Set Category "Page B" moderate permission only this "Page B" user group can able to moderate the post.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer.

I try as you say and also as I had in my mind.
Yes, something like that I think... It is not perfect but similarly. There are a lot of settings
Maybe here some questions:
- is correct what I choose (when create New user group) as you see on attachment "Users_New Group"? If is not... what is the best that is choosen here?
- why I dont see "moderator" button (attachment "No moderator button") as you can see on your site under presentation (I mention this in one of previous reply)
- when I create new Group-A... I had setted that new group must be approval from Site Admin... I wish to change this but I forgot where is this setting
- now I have setted that User group "Group-A moderator" have permissions for moderate "Group-A forum" Category.. Is it possible that I can set that also admins of "Group-A" have the same permissions? ...probably no... I create Group-A on ES and there I no connection between ES and ED. Maybe when we install EasyDiscuss App, this will going?

Kind regards

Hey Uros,

Choosing 'Public' as the group parent should be fine.
why I dont see "moderator" button
It seems the framework is overriding the styling of the button. You can try using the custom css below to see if the 'moderator' button displays the string.

#ed .ed-entry .ed-post-item__bd .ed-adminbar .sr-only {
position: inherit;
}

when I create new Group-A... I had setted that new group must be approval from Site Admin... I wish to change this but I forgot where is this setting
Are you referring to approval for creating new Joomla user group?
Is it possible that I can set that also admins of "Group-A" have the same permissions?
If you are referring to ES group admin, then no since there are no relation between them, unless those group admin users belong to the Joomla user group that has the permission to do so.

Hi,
when I create new Group-A... I had setted that new group must be approval from Site Admin... I wish to change this but I forgot where is this setting
Are you referring to approval for creating new Joomla user group?

I reffering when I create (as User) new group in ES...
So... when Registered User create new Group in ES, then this new Group must be approved by site admin... currently is that setting. I wish to set in backend that for new Group is not needed approval by site admin. I remember that on backend is somewhere setting "New group need approval from site admin" and site admin can switch this ON/OFF but I forgot where is this setting.

Kind regards

Perhaps next time you can separate your question in different forum new thread is because it would help our multiple moderators can easier manage your current question.

I think you referring this setting from backend > Easysocial > profile type > select your profile type > General tab > registration type

Hi,

First.. sorry.. probably next time is better than I open new thread if I have the second theme.

Probably you dont understant me exactly what I am searching... is similar but not this.
I dont want change setting when new User is Sign in, that after this "required admin approval" - this is ok.

I wish to find - when User on ES create New Group.
So.. UserA create in ES "New Group". After creation new group UserA can not use this New Group immediately because on backend is setted "Require admin approval" and site admin must approval pending New Group.
Where is this setting to switch for creating new group "Require admin approval" ON/OFF?

Kind regards

Hey Uros,
You are referring to enabling 'require approval' for ES groups correct? If that's the case, you have to restrict the respective profile type from doing so in the profile type's ACL setting(https://monosnap.com/file/mBHavwetKjr272t1LHqIBNgg7pVRJ7). Users under this profile type requires approval before new groups are created.
