I am happy with all the hard work you are making to bring to us even better solutions and keep the incredible attention to your users so I decided support you and go on with the mobile package but I have one question...

Will work OK with 3rd party extensions like JREVIEWS and the Offlajn Vertical menu? This is the only two extensions that I use outside the stackideas ecosystem and if work well I definitely buy and try,

Happy new year to all the staff and keep in contact in 2017!!
All the best,
Emilio
If JReviews has it's own styling, it should work fine because the template just serves as a container. As for Offlajn vertical menu, to be honest I am not too sure how this really works but the concept of having a mobile template is to not throw too many things at your users.

You need to think from a user's perspective. If you are using Facebook, can you imagine if Facebook decides to throw everything right on your face on their mobile layout?

Totally agree with you. I decided to use the vertical menu to hide not needed things from the main page. Actually the vertical menu acts as style menu in the mobile devices. By now works nice in my mobile ?

For me Facebook mobile app is not always so user friendly as I desire :-p

Facebook might not be user friendly for you but it has been accepted and used widely There is a reason behind every move that these big players perform. I am sure, they have spent millions if not billions of dollars understanding the needs of users.

Mark,
Do you have any demo of the mobile template running with other of your extensions?
As I am using ES, ED and EB (Plus JReviews) I don't know if will be compatible...

About the Vertical Menu, I suppose is there a way to just don't use in the mobile template but keep in desktop version. (With Echo)
Is this possible?

Thanks and Happy Lunar New Year!!
Emilio.

Hello Emilio,

We don't have a demo of this currently but it will be compatible with our extensions (Minus ConverseKit as we will be rolling out another update of the mobile web template to support ConverseKit)

As for the vertical menu, it will not appear on the mobile web template since it is another template altogether. Think of it as rendering a different Joomla template on mobile devices.

Not very clear how to host EB, ED and JReviews in the template...
Where will appear the menu? Can I setup the main page with news from EB, Listings form JReviews and this kind of things?

Sorry if is stupid question but I can't visualize as in the demo looks great only for ES and I don't know where to put the rest.
Thanks for your patience!

Emilio.

Hello Emilio,

You can't actually because the mobile template will only have menu links to EasySocial related items. If there are stream items generated by JReviews or EasyBlog, tapping on these links would then bring them to the respective pages but still wrapped within the container of the template.

I will try to setup a demo soon so that you can try it out

Ahhh...
I think I got it. In any case, no rush, but a demo will be welcome :-)
I am not sure if this will be useful in my case as I have the CityGuide that will need some functions outside of the things shared by other components on EasySocial.

Thanks for your answer Mark!!

Thanks Emilio, will let you know once we have set this up. By the way, the reason that we can't put everything in the current demo because people would think that it is included in EasySocial's component.

When they don't see it on their site, and come to us finding out that they need to purchase it separately, they get very frustrated and I would be frustrated too if I was them because this is false advertising

I guess we need to setup a separate demo sites for each of our apps (oh my goodness, that is a tonne of work!)
