Aren´t there any SmartSearch plugins for EasyDiscuss? I really would like that if a person used the main search box that it also find elements in EasyDiscussion forums. However I´m not able to find a needed plugin. Did I miss here something?
Hi Tela,
We do have EasyDiscuss smart search plugin included during the installation of EasyDiscuss(http://take.ms/IAoof). Do you see this plugin and is it enabled in your plugins page? If not, perhaps you should reinstall EasyDiscuss to install it.
If it is enabled, may I know what exactly you are searching for in EasyDiscuss and can you provide us access to the site so I can look into it? Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

sorry this notification for that posting here was eaten by my anti spam solution. I currently couldn´t share my installation as its not ready to access. But I can share two screenshots. You can see that I´m using the finder, however in the "type" menu I do not see the "EasyDiscuss" plugins.

Keep also noted that I see a EasySocial users option but I have disable this plugin.

Hey Tela,
Based on your screenshot, it seems you do have the ED discussions smart search plugin(http://take.ms/NGOUvE). May I know what are you trying to search? Is it discussions? For smart search, do note that you may have to re-index it for the smart search component to crawl new search results(http://take.ms/tyykE).

oh thanks, the re index fixed my issue and the drop down showed now multiple other elements to choose from. I´m very new to the smartsearch feature. Do you know how I can run that via a schedule? Can i use a cron job here (as explained here: https://docs.joomla.org/Setting_up_automatic_Smart_Search_indexing)?

Hey Tela,
By right ED discussions should index new discussion posts automatically so there's no need to set up a cronjob for this. However, it seems the auto indexing for discussion posts is not working on my end. I will log this issue into our tracker so the devs can investigate this.

ok thanks, because its also not working for me on my Staging/DEMO & LIVE environment. When I run the indexer manually its working. So if you could sort that out that would be great. If you need a system to test a fix on, then get in contact with me in that posting here and I can deploy it and give it a test :-).
