Hi guys

I cannot find this language in any of the language files for ES 'COM_EASYSOCIAL_SYSTEM_COMMENTS'. Is under Notifications it shows up when some have answered you on something.

Hello Rampagerabbit,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? Please advise.

Hello Rampagerabbit,

Thanks for provided your info, it seems like the Danish (Denmark) only translated 60%, so i manually help you added this 2 language string in your language file JoomlaFolder/language/da-DK/da-DK.com_easysocial.ini
LINE 1312 -> 1313

COM_EASYSOCIAL_SYSTEM_COMMENTS_INVOVLED_TITLE="%1s commented on an item that involves you."
COM_EASYSOCIAL_SYSTEM_COMMENTS_ITEM_SYSTEM_TITLE="%1s commented on your item."

So you can modify this 2 english word "commented on an item that involves you." and "commented on your item." to your Danish (Denmark) language.
After you done it, then clear your Joomla cache and template cache and see how it goes? Hope this help.

yeah, finding strings in general is a pain in easysocial to be honest. I usually use sublime's "find in files" option to let them do the search between all the 70 files but I think as there are more and more questions about this it would make sense to merge them. I mean that there might be seperated files for apps that you have to install manually I could understand till a certain point but all these 70 files come pre-installed so they could be reduced down to 1 or 2 for backend and frontend which would make life much easier for everyone...

this would also end all the "please update the language sync" topics because then people would also manually do some changes in their files, but when you have to make changes on 20 files then nobody will download them manually at transifex, rename them and again upload them to the server ^^

Hello Rampagerabbit,

I'm really sorry that late reply to this,
First, for the Danish language still haven't update this 2 string yet

COM_EASYSOCIAL_SYSTEM_COMMENTS_INVOVLED_TITLE="%1s commented on an item that involves you."
COM_EASYSOCIAL_SYSTEM_COMMENTS_ITEM_SYSTEM_TITLE="%1s commented on your item."

So when you see this language string COM_EASYSOCIAL_SYSTEM_COMMENTS that is not showing full language string from your notification page, that is because the language string already truncate from EasySocial, you can see my screenshot ( http://screencast.com/t/nNQQV1Vdku ) if your Danish language file already exists this 2 language string, so it also will truncate it like this example : admin commented on your status: "arlexwong commented on your it..." (You can compare this with above COM_EASYSOCIAL_SYSTEM_COMMENTS_ITEM_SYSTEM_TITLE)
Hope this explanation help.

Also, thanks for sharing Alex

hey arlex,
the point rampagerabbit is trying to tell you is that these strings you named aren't available in the official language files at transifex at all, so they can't be translated for the users in genereal.
perhaps you want to check that we always have the latest up-to-date files available at transifex so others don't run into the same problems

Sorry for not being clear in my first post. As Alex say, then the strings that I am looking for to be able to translate this, are not to be found in any of the ES files in Transifex and therefore I am not able to do the general translation of those in ES. I can the missing strings to my local language file and then do the translation, but when I then use the language file under 'Language' in ES, then it will be overwritten again. What is needed is for the missing strings to be added into Transifex for us to translate them in the proper way for all to use

Hello,

Thanks Alex correct me what Rampagerabbit mean in the previous post
@Rampagerabbit, it okay, don't worries about that.
Yes, you 're right, for the temporary fix you have to translate this 2 language string to Danish language by yourself
Remember make a backup after you translated that 2 language string prevent for next update (if the Danish language haven't full update yet).
I'm sorry that make you inconvenience.
