Please add a feature where you can mark specific threads and the question and accepted answer will be used in a FAQ type fashion/view. It would be nice to be able to organize specific questions into a nice view that has it's own link/page type.

I will have to use another extension or do this manually, currently easydiscuss is too cluttered and I think a lot of people would like a simplified way to just choose a bunch and show it seperately as a FAQ/highlight of important topics.
Hey Michael,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, not really sure what you mean here. When you mean FAQ, couldn't you just create a category called "FAQ" and move these answers into the "FAQ" category?

But it just looks like the compoonent, it's not really resembling a static visually pleasing standard FAQ type page. It would be nice if it was a menu type, a view, and you could say this category and use this display view, and we could then override or add additional easily.

It's more of a way to visually lay out the content, since easy discuss can be used for support, faq, and discussions. Right now I could do override for a category view but it would take over all when I'd only want it for FAQ. I need to make a static FAQ page from category that is clean, resembles a FAQ page, and doesn't look like component where you can do questions and answers, has all that social stuff tied in, etc.

Is this easy, or is this a lot of work?

Hey Michael,

Yes, this requires quite a substantial amount of work to achieve this. This requires a creation of a new view and a way to identify what should be in the knowledge base on what shouldn't.

Okay so this won't ever happen? Disappointing, but oh well.

Thanks.

I won't say it wouldn't happen but if you want it to happen immediately, that is close to impossible

Or it can be simplified and just add another tab for creating a menu item for a category, telling it exactly how to show the page you guys just add more logic into your code. That would be a simpler implementation.

Yes, the only way to achieve this is to create a new view to display the questions and responses in a different way
