Hello,

When a user attends a group event, this appears in the group timeline. But the name of the event in the timeline is missing (see attachment) so other users won't know which event is concerned...

Note that in the dashboard timeline, this is OK, you have the event name and cover.

Thanks!

(Running latest EasySocial v1.3.13)
Thanks for the heads up on this, this will be fixed in the next release of EasySocial.

Hello,

I'm sorry for the late reply. I've added the event name for you. Please have a look.
I've modified these file:

../language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easysocial.ini
../media/com_easysocial/apps/event/guests/themes/default/streams/going.title.php

Hope this helps.

Hello

Thank you but I can't see any change in the group timeline. It looks exactly the same as before (see the snapshot in my 1st message): I can see that people attend to some events, but I can't see which events :-(

Hello Altitudes,

I have tested this on your site and it does seem to appear correctly as you can see from my screen shot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-12-06_0058.png . Am I missing anything here?

Oh yes sorry, this is because I need to make the same modification in fr-FR.com_easysocial.ini that you did in en-GB.com_easysocial.ini.

You did this modification on my install, I think you really should include this in EasySocial, because what the sense of saying that someone attends to an event without telling which event? And at least the event name should be a link to the event. What do you think?

Hello,

Good point. Maybe we have missed it before. We will discuss this with developers and see how it goes. Thanks for the heads up by the way.

Nice Did you add the event name (with a link) or a full "snippet" of the event (I mean event details and cover)?

I think event name and link is enough, because you usually have many participants to an event, and adding a full snippet of the event each time in the group timeline would not be a good idea. Furthermore, the same timeline item appears also in the timeline of the event, and adding a snippet of the event on the event itself is useless.

Well... Can you please just answer my question and tell what you did?

1- added event name
2- added event name + link
3- added event name + event "snippet"

As I explained before I think 2- is the best choice.

Hello Altitudes,

I've add link to your event name. Files that I've modified are:

../media/com_easysocial/apps/event/guests/themes/default/streams/going.title.php
../language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easysocial.ini

Please have a look.

Hello,

Just for you to know that we have the same issue when a user is NOT attending an event... Event name is missing in feed item in group. Could you apply the same fix?

By the way the previous fix is not very clean as you are appending the event name to the message, when in some languages the event name should not be at the end of the sentence...

Thanks
