.Misc Issues with Announcements

Hello

I never used the announcements in groups or events before, but it seem quite buggy...

Here are the most annoying issues I found (tested on events):
1- If you uncheck the "Allow Comments" option, it is possible to comment anyway (if you edit the announcement again, option is checked)
2- When you edit an announcement after creating it, notifications are sent again (as if you created it)

Also, as of today, you need to use a Joomla editor in order to have line breaks, links or whatever formatting you need, even very basic (see http://stackideas.com/forums/group-announcements-editor). And then we have another issue:

3- HTML is stripped in the notification mail which makes it very ugly (no line breaks...)

I am sorry for the delay of this reply. I've tried to replicate this issue locally and seems there is some bug. This issue has been logged in our issue tracker and our developers will take an action for this and we will keep you update on this.

Hello Mark

Are you talking of the view counting issue (which is minor) or of all the reported issues? Because issues 1- and 2- are important ones...

I think this is important to keep on applying fixes to the ES 1.4 branch, because ES 2.0 is not there and when it will be I will probably wait a while before installing it on my production site. I have reported so many bugs so far that I am a bit worrying with ES 2.0 and all the code you are rewriting...

I've replicate this locally and seems it is a bug and I've logged this issue in our issue tracker and we will keep you update as it is been fixed internally
